Oils & Fats

The vegetable oil and fats division of FR Waring was established in the early 1980's with a view to sourcing, marketing and distributing a broad range of both bulk edible and inedible oils, fats and derivative products within South Africa and the region.

The brief of this sphere of our business has somewhat changed since it's beginnings with FR Waring having evolved to become a significant player in both the local and international oils and fats markets.

Our success over the years is largely attributable to the many strategic relationships, alliances and partnerships we have forged with affiliates, crushers, ship owners, surveyors, processors, merchandisers and customers. The FR Waring name has become synonomous with integrity, professionalism, performance and service.

In conjunction with the regular trade of standard grade materials, FR Waring has developed good relations with international processors and crushers to source speciality oils and fats as is sometimes required by both the local and international trade. Our global sourcing and marketing capabilities have resulted in several successfully traded international shipments of acid, fish and groundnut oils.

A significant area of our business is trade with Sub-Saharan Africa, with customers in various African countries. Recognized for our ingenuity and skills in import and export services, FR Waring can offer a comprehensive and seamless global door to door service.

Using a synergistic approach and combined skills of our various other trading divisions we have also entered into highly successful toll crushing agreements with major local crushers and processors.

The FR Waring oil trading division employs experienced professionals from trading to contract administration who offer comprehensive service that meet and exceed the ever more exacting demands of it's customers.
